How much water does my lawn need?

All lawns are different, but the best way to water is not automatically like most sprinkler systems are set. I water my lawn when its thirsty. A lawn isnt always thirsty. But it will tell you when its thirsty. If the leaf blades fold then its time to water. If the leaf blades are open , do not water. Then water it in until it receives 1 inch. You can measure the amount of water by using an empty tuna can. When the can is full , you are done!
