Lawn Care Tips

1. Do not over water! Watering too much is usually the biggest problem.
2. Bugs need to be controlled :Chinch bugs ,Grubs, Web worms and Army worms are the most common pests in St. Augustine lawns. Its important to spray lawns six to 8 times per year with pesticides to prevent these pests from destroying your lawn.  
3. Weeds need to be prevented with pre-emergent chemicals and post emergent chemicals.
4.The lawn needs to be fertilized with granules and liquids ,to keep it healthy and green all year long.
5.Fungus needs to be prevented , and  also treated before it damages the lawn.
6. Lawn mowing too short is a common problem. St. Augustine lawns should be cut at 3.5 inches or higher.
7. Over pruning palms is another common problem. Palm limbs should never be trimmed above the 3 and nine hands on a clock.
